  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the pumpkin puree, melted butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the pumpkin mixture, stirring until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  5. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan. Add dollops of the remaining batter on top and use a knife to swirl them together.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let cool before cutting into squares.
