Author of best-selling books, including “Pacyfik i Eurazja. O Wojnie” (Pacific and Eurasia. On War” (2016), which focuses on the ongoing great power competition in Eurasia and the possible war in the Western Pacific, as well as – ”Rzeczpospolita między Lądem a Morzem. O wojnie i pokoju.” (Poland and Intermarium between the Land and the Sea Powers – (2018), which deals with the geostrategic reality Poland and Europe face in the era of great power competition, and is an in-depth study of the Central Eastern European theatre of war and modern warfare.
A Senior Fellow at the Potomac Foundation in Washington DC, Director of Wargaming & Simulations Program at the Casimir Pulaski Foundation, co-founder of PlayofBattle – a wargaming and simulation games studio. Jacek is also a contributor at Nowa Konfederacja, and at New Generation Warfare Center in Washington DC. Dr. Bartosiak is a former (2018–2019) CEO of Solidarity Transport Hub – the largest infrastructure project in Poland’s history; and an advisor to the Government plenipotentiary for the Solidarity Transport Hub (2017–2018). Jacek is a graduate of the Law and Public Administration Faculty of Warsaw University and an attorney, specializing in corporate, business and financial law and Managing Partner of Warsaw based law office since 2004.
As a renownedexpert on geopolitics, Jacek has been a leading voice in the debate on the strategic realityof Central Eastern Europe, Eurasia and the Western Pacific, factors affecting thegeopolitical realities, and has participated in countless conferences and speakingengagements in Poland and worldwide.
Albert is the Director of Analysis at Strategy&Future. He is a graduate of Warsaw’s Collegium Civitas University, Warsaw University, and previously studied psychology at the University of Aberdeen.
Before starting his work at S&F, Albert was a coordinator of Wargaming and International Security Programs at the Casimir Pulaski Foundation, and has been involved in a number of wargaming and simulation studies. In his free time, Albert enjoys mixed martial arts and the works of Zbigniew Herbert and Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa.
Magdalena Ucińska-Wróbel is the Director of Operations at Strategy&Future. Since 2005 with the Dudek Osiński Rycerz Barański Law Office (formerly Bartosiak & Partners Law Office) – now as the Director of the Office. Until April 2019, she worked at Solidarity Transport Hub as the Director of the Management Board Office. She graduated in Polish Philology at the University of Warsaw. She is also a graduate of the Postgraduate Administration Studies at the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw.
Originally from Manchester, England, Thomas earned a bachelor’s degree in English Literature from the University of Central Lancashire before moving to the south of Poland, where he has now lived for ten years, teaching English to business leaders and senior management within sectors such as mining, energy and manufacturing. At S&F, he is mainly responsible for editing Polish-to-English translations and podcasts. In his spare time he enjoys visiting castles along the Trail of the Eagles’ Nests.
Historian, journalist specializing in Russian and Post-Soviet East. Recently he published (in Polish) “The End of the Russian America. The Thoughts on why Russia Sold Alaska”.
Collects, processes and organizes an efficient information flow system. She is also responsible for running the Russian version of S&F website.
Almira comes from Crimea, and is a graduate of the Taurida National V.I Vernadsky University, where she received her degree in English and French philology.
Her hobbies are languages (she speaks fluent Crimean Tatar, Russian, Ukrainian, Polish, English and French, she also knows basic German, Turkish, Latin and Gothic). Almira likes cycling, traveling and books.
Graduate of Kozminski University in Warsaw, student at MGU in Moscow and ECNU in Shanghai. He has been privately and professionally connected with the Middle Kingdom for almost 15 years. On a daily basis, he operates from eastern China and Hong Kong. Owner of companies operating between the EU and Greater China markets and, more recently, Southeast Asia.
Former editor-in-chief of “Pressia” published by the Jagiellonian Club. Regular columnist for “Rzeczpospolita” daily and “Plus Minus” magazine. He has published, among others, in “Wszystko co najważniejsze”, “Do Rzeczy”, portals of the Jagiellonian Club and Teologia Polityczna and the daily “Lidove Noviny”. The publishing house “Teologia Polityczna” published his book “Silence of the Cathedral”. Husband of Ola, father of Julek, Aniela and Stefan. He lives in Cracow.
